There are many reasons we’re a local detail shop rather than mobile detailers. We will acknowledge that there is one big benefit to a mobile detailer – they can come to you when it’s convenient for you. You won’t have to be without your car for half a day or more. However, you’re going to get a better detail from a local detail shop rather than a mobile company.

The Weather/Environment

The weather often works against a mobile detailer. If you don’t have a garage or covered area in which they can work, there’s no guarantee the job will get done before the rain comes. Some products shouldn’t be applied in direct sunlight so without a covered area, it’s a risk.

All the supplies we need as a local detail shop are in our facility. From the tools we use to the different specialty products we might need to remove bugs, tar, or something else on the car are handy. If a mobile detailer doesn’t have it, they either can’t remove what needs special attention or they need to leave and find the right product, adding to the time you will be without your car.

A big part of your detailing service is getting your car clean. If the water the detailer uses is bad, doesn’t have enough water pressure, or there are restrictions on water containment, there might be an issue part way through your service.

When a mobile detailer comes to you, they’re fighting traffic. If they’ve completed their previous job later than expected and then they hit traffic, there’s no guarantee they’ll even make it to you. Assuming they do, if they’re late, your car may not get the best job because they’re fighting daylight. When you schedule and appointment at a local detail shop, they’re more likely to finish on time.
